Soil Block Maker
A new way to pre-grow seedlings
Soil blocks ensure better root development and hold their shape on their own, without the need for additional plastic containers.
When transplanting, the whole block is simply placed straight into the soil, minimising stress on the plant and simplifying the whole process.
Making the blocks is a fun activity, and it also lets you prepare large numbers of seedlings without investing in traditional seedling pots.

Use what you already have at home
The blocks can be placed on plant pot saucers, old baking trays, or food packaging and other containers people already have at home.
In this way, we're tapping into the trend of growing with minimal cost and without relying on fragile, thin-walled seedling sets.

How does the soil block maker work?

Seedlings that never dry out
Alongside the soil block maker, we also offer a self-watering fabric. Customers can cut it to size, lay it on the tray, thread the wick into a water reservoir, and ensure even watering of seedlings without needing to top up water frequently.
The fabric can also be used to water pots that aren't otherwise self-watering — simply place it under containers with drainage holes and let the plants draw water as needed.
Sifted substrate,
solid blocks
To keep the blocks from falling apart during shaping, the substrate needs to be fine and even. That's why we recommend sifting it before use — this removes larger lumps and clumps that could affect how well the blocks hold together.
Our sieve is perfect for this job — it makes the work much easier and ensures the blocks stay firm and hold their shape.

The product is still in development; the final design may vary.
