How to prepare a logo for laser engraving on a cup?

To ensure the application of your logo on the cup goes smoothly and without unnecessary complications, we have prepared an overview of recommended formats, laser technology options, and key guidelines to keep in mind.

Laser Engraving Options

Laser engraving is possible only in grayscale.

If a logo contains several solid areas, each area can be engraved in a different shade of gray.

For logos with large colored surfaces, fine details within the surface may disappear. In such cases, it is advisable to have a prepared inverted version of the logo – in outlines.

It is possible to engrave up to two objects on opposite sides of the cup or next to each other.

Standard engraving areas:

  • Cup 0.3 l – max. 40 × 55 mm (W × H)

  • Cup 0.2 l – max. 30 × 40 mm (W × H)

Logo Submission Guidelines

File format

  • The ideal formats for submitting your logo are .svg and .dxf.

  • All objects must be converted to outlines.

  • If you have your logo available in several outline formats, please send us all of them. We will choose the one most suitable for production.

Hidden objects and masks

  • Logos must not contain hidden objects created with masks.

Overlapping objects

  • If the logo contains multiple objects, individual elements must not overlap.

Paths

  • All paths must be converted to outlines.

Texts
